THE ANNUAL FLAGSTAFF ANTIQUE SUMMER SHOWCASE
IS PLEASED TO ANNOUNCE "HIGHLIGHTS OF AN ARIZONA TRADITION"
Arizona has a uniqueness all it's own with a history rich of tales from the Wild Wild West. In fact, Arizona was where the famous Indian chiefs, Geronimo and Cochise led their people against the frontiersmen. And it is here where the largest population of 14 American Indian tribes still reside. The largest of all Indian tribes, the Navajos, calls Arizona home and they've made history with the many tribe-unique traditions carried on still today. Famous for their works with silver, pottery and handmade rugs, their creations are highly regarded.
Silversmithing is said to have been introduced to the Navajo while they were in captivity at Fort Sumber in new Mexico in 1864. Their progress of this learned art, started a long tradition of silversmiths making handmade jewelry that included bracelets, tobacco flasks, necklaces as well as earrings, buckles and bolos, hair ornaments and pins.

Jewelry styles remain different to every American Indian tribe and it takes a trained eye to be able to identify such differences.

The Flagstaff Antique Summer Showcase at the show will be a variety of authentic antiques that include Bijou Creek Antiques from Colorado who features more than sixty feet of Oak Furniture highlighting Early American.
Plus, you'll also want to pay attention to the other Exhibitors in the show from throughout the region displaying and selling a wide variety of antiques and providing you a wide variety of quality antiques and vintage. These Exhibitors specialize in Early Americana, Mercantile, Estate Liquidation, Western, Kitchen, Linens, Watches, Advertising, and so much more.

You will find some of the best examples of Native American rugs, artifacts, pottery, baskets, jewelry and more here at this event which only comes to Flagstaff Arizona but once a year.

The Annual Flagstaff Mineral and Jewelry Expo and Sale will be held at the Flagstaff High School at 400 West Elm Avenue in Flagstaff, Arizona on July 9th and 10th. On Saturday the show will be open to the public from 10:00 AM until 5:00 PM, and on Sunday the show hours are from 10:00 AM until 4:00 PM.

Our planet has many amazing treasures that are hidden, in many cases, just beneath our feet. Almost every country in the world has been able to unearth unique specimens specific to their locale, and the earth’s bounty from much of the world will be on display and available for sale at the show. Vendors from across the region will be offering unique and interesting mineral specimens, crystals, gemstones, jewelry, beads, fossils, slabs and cutting material at competitive prices. Many of our artisans have created original jewelry designs, and our gem and mineral vendors will have specimens on display in both the rough and cut-and-polished states.

An hourly raffle will be held for a chance to win one of many beautiful prizes to be offered throughout the show, and food will be available for purchase. This is a fun and educational event the entire family will enjoy. Admission is $3.00 for adults, and children under the age of 12 are free.
